My questions had been very specific about game content, and again it was addressed as bonus levels. I tried to get what information was extra gameplay, and it was my understanding, apparently wrongly also, that it was bonus levels. This was taken as gospel and repeated many times over the past few weeks - but as a sure thing, not as a maybe. And, why didnt' a little forethought of not being able to use our gaming credits as multiples to purchase CE occur to them? Then the whole can't use your credits in multiples with a *promise* of maybe being able to do it in the future after changing the game manager.

I have never had a company tell me that I should thank people who buy things at regular price so that I could have things on sale. I was barely even excited when it came out today - From the moment it was posted that I should thank people who bought the CE so that I could have the regular edition I have had a horribly bad taste in my mouth for both BFG and the forums. This whole thing has been divisive and handled badly from the very beginning. This was never advertised to be Dire Grove: A La Carte.Ĭptduzer wrote:I agree with Sillyfeet, and I think part of the problem was stated plainly by Lizzie. Obviously, many people think that the morphs would have been great to have but that doesn't mean anybody should be able to pick and choose the features they wish were included in their game. There are definitely good & bad special features that the CE offered. The idea to put them in the regular version with a morph counter would technically be an achievement system, which is an exclusive to the CE.Īlthough BF didn't ever spell it out and say that the morphing objects would not be included in the regular version, they never said they would be either. After playing the game and understanding that the morphing objects, bonus levels, and achievement system are directly related, it was assumed by many that the morphs would not be included in the regular version. However, a huge deciding factor for most people who bought the CE was knowing that there would be extra gameplay.

Especially considering the large difference in prices between the two versions, it would have been wise to inform the customers about exactly what they were getting for their money from the beginning. Sillyfeet, I cannot agree with you more about how ridiculous it was for BF to be so vague about the dissimilarities in games.
